Used for many centuries, the white tea porcelain cup is great to work with. The reason we use white is so the tea leaves contrast strongly with the white cup to make the cup easier to read. In tea readings the cup handle is important for several reasons, so if you can have a handle on your cup, great. While most tea houses or coffee shops serve tea and coffee in cups that have handles, with the advent of progress and take away businesses, mass produced cardboard cups have become the mainstay and these usually don’t have handles. If you only have the cardboard cup without a handle, imagine the handle 180 degrees opposite from where you drink from.
